My Books (with Elizabeth Craft)

  • 'Bass Ackwards and Belly Up' and 'Footfree and Fancyloose' tell the story of four best friends who commit the ultimate suburban sin: putting off college to pursue their dreams.

Publisher's Weekly said: "Full of romance and adventure, laughter and tears, the story is a reminder that veering from the straight and narrow road doesn't always lead to a dead end."

    warm bath with lavender essence!

The best advice I was given: to leave her husband out of the delivery room, bring anxiety and fainting

    "Saying I don't look bad"
    lol :D Classic.

Best wishes to WP on the birth! Very exciting.

Yea Liz on no placenta pills! They just sounded gross! LOL

I'm not sure anything REALLY works to help labor start but there are tons of things people swear by.

Maybe you can try the Maternity Salad at
    Caioti Pizza Café
4346 Tujunga Ave., Studio City, California 91604

They have testimonials on their website!! LOL It didn't work for Genna Yaitanes when I sent her the info on it. She did say the salad tasted good! haha

Not to worry....the baby will eventually come out. He/she can't stay in there forever. They have to come out so in 18 yrs thay can move out, borrow money, move back in, borrow money, move out....yeah, you get the idea.

Prayers for a safe and quick delivery!

Wait -- would the placenta pills not have YOUR placenta? Because... blech.

Labor started: Sex, walking, bouncing on one of those exercise ball things.

Good luck! You still look terrific! (Pregnant women can never look bad.)

That video is awesome. You DO look great. As for starting labor, walking up a steep incline and up stairs worked for me (the weekend before I had Jackson, I went on a walk by the seashore that turned out to be an actual hike; also, that week, the elevator in LA Center Studios broke down and I kept having to take the stairs to the third floor with my 10-pound laptop bag on my shoulder. Silly). Also, I was trying NOT to go into labor, because I really really really wanted to turn in the production draft of WMC episode 13. Which I did, barely (another silly story). So, walk straight uphill and tell the baby he HAS to stay inside because you still have other items on your to-do list. ;) He will come out, trust me! Lots of love, m.

    What is Starfish Envy??

    • L.A. 2009. I’m stuck in traffic on the 101 freeway, listening to Isabella Rosselini on NPR. Isabella, for some reason, mentions that starfish are one of those rare species that can reproduce asexually, and I realize that if I could do that, I wouldn't have to worry about finding a boyfriend/husband. I wouldn’t have to internet date! I wouldn't have to figure out if I want to/can/should have a baby/adopt a baby/child on my own. I wouldn't have to stress about things like FSH levels, or weigh my feelings on in vitro versus adoption. I would just have a baby. Thus began my starfish envy.
