The gift of HAPPINESS, of course!
"But," you say (you cynic, you), "happiness is such an ephemeral thing. So mysterious. So fleeting. Happiness can't be wrapped in a box with a tidy little bow! Impossible!"
Ha! Shows what you know.
All you have to do to give the gift of happiness is click on this link right here. And then your loved one(s) will receive two things: first, a Pre-Order eCard letting them know what's coming; and then, just in time to start the New Year off right, THE BOOK!!!
And by "THE BOOK!!!" of course I mean The Happiness Project, by Gretchen Rubin.
Yes, after much waiting and anticipation, The Happiness Project is finally here! Or at least it's close. By the end of the month, I will have it in my grubby little winter-parched hands. Because, personally, I've already pre-ordered three copies. One for me, two for my parents. And I'm making a list right now of everyone else I'd like to give it to.
I'm doing this because Gretchen's intelligent and thoughtful blog has had a radical impact on my life in many ways, large and small. The book promises to be just as rewarding and insightful. And, unlike a website, I can carry it around. And write notes in it. And discover where Gretchen goes when she has the opportunity to go deeper, to theorize, and philosophize, and be revealing and honest about the year, the very important year, when happiness became the focus of her life.
I can't wait to read all about it.
