Well. For me, this week is the end of thinking and the beginning of doing on two very important fronts: house and baby.
On the house front, today I met with a project manager who is going to help guide me through the turbulent waters of remodeling-- starting with my kitchen, which will probably be done in about a month. Yes, I said A MONTH!
And then the big stuff starts: windows, heating and air conditioning, floors, bathroom, insulation, OH MY GOD!
But I have to tell you, if I like this woman (yes, the project manager for my big construction project is a woman! yay!) half as much by the end of this process as I like her at the beginning, she is STILL going to be one of my favorite people. I've been dreading jumping into remodeling hell-- as any sane person would-- but I sort of think, with PM's help, it's going to be okay. (That's PM, short for Project Manager, for anyone who's feeling a little slow today.)
Oh, and did I mention, I'm probably having my first IUI in a few days?
Going in tomorrow for an ultrasound so see how things are progressing. And if things look good, it's sperm time! By this time next week, I'll be in my first dreaded two week wait.
Good thing I'll have that kitchen remodel to distract me!
(You have no idea how much I wanted to go to the "I could have a bun in the oven while I'm choosing my new oven" well. But of course I would never do that. Only the cheesiest person on the planet would do that.)
