I thought I'd gotten the best Christmas present ever last night, when my dad and step-mom gave me a Record-A-Story children's book... with my dad reading the story of Christmas.
The recording starts: "Hello, (Baby's name). This is your grandpa. And I'm going to read you the story of Christmas."
It's just about the sweetest thing I've ever heard. Totally made me cry.
As Christmas presents go, pretty much tops the All-Time list.
Until this morning.
When, for the first time, I felt the baby move!
I mean, does this kid have good timing, or what?
It's like she decided to do a little "Merry Christmas, Mom!" dance.
I can feel her again now. Just little flutters.
Little flutters that say, "I'm here!" and "I'm growing!"
And "We're gonna have such a good time!"
Merry Christmas, all.
I hope it was joyous and filled with love.
