I can't believe I forgot this last week! An article on how to get rid of cramps, from Jezebel. Brilliant. Must rush out immediately and get Poppy Tea and Mexican Wild Yam Root.
And another great piece from Women & Hollywood, this one on Geena Davis and Commander In Chief. (Just a little aside: WP and I were incredibly frustrated watching from afar as Commander In Chief fell apart. The show had boat loads of potential... most of which was utterly squandered. I hope it does get revived by a cable network. I'd love to watch it grow into what it should always have been: a smart show about the ultimate work/life balance, and what it takes to be the most powerful woman in the world.)
Best one liner I've heard in awhile. Ah, the old ladies always know just what to say.
The torturous struggle to pare down one's books is ongoing at Little House on the Southern Prairie. I hear you, sister.
Finally, from Time's Fool, an extremely important post. Like many of us, the woman who writes Time's Fool is concerned about the rise of hateful rhetoric in this country. I don't just hear you, I hear you LOUD, sister. The proliferation of lies presented as facts, the intentional and dishonest fear-mongering, the growing embrace of intolerance, and the glorification of ignorance going on in this country right now... it's a bad, bad thing.
The only upside is that it allows for the creation of little things like the video below. This week, I love Tina Fey almost as much as I love Roger Ebert.
