Aw, a huge congrats to Liz and her hubby. Wow, unmedicated! She does rock!
I hope she is able to get a little rest tonight after her long labor and delivery.

Are you a tiny bit excited Sarah? hehe I know you are. Get some sleep now!

Blessings to all!

Congratulations to WP!!

Yay! Congratulations to WP, her husband, and you: the obviously proud "aunt". :)

Congratulations to WP, the family, and the extended family! Welcome to the world, little guy.

Liz is much, much more than a rock star in those circumstances. WOW! Congratulations!

That's a big baby to come out of such a small lady!! Congrats to Liz (and Auntie Sarah)!!

Unmedicated, too... wow. Ask her to send some of that mojo to me. I'm gonna need it in about 6 1/2 weeks.

Commence "baby spoiling mode" immediately.

Yay! Go, Liz! And go, little guy!

Congrats, WP! And Aunt Sarah! Isn't it exciting/cool/overwhelming to think that by this time next year, Mixed Nuts and Baby Starfish may be hanging out???!

I'm so happy for everyone!! What a great way to roll into the holiday season :) Congrats WP and Auntie Sarah!!!

So thrilling and so impressive. Can't wait to hear what they chose for his name!

Oh, of course they may not want to share his name so publicly, in which case we're all just excited for WP that Mixed Nuts is officially here, and I'm sure they chose a wonderful name for such an adorable boy.

My Books (with Elizabeth Craft)

  • 'Bass Ackwards and Belly Up' and 'Footfree and Fancyloose' tell the story of four best friends who commit the ultimate suburban sin: putting off college to pursue their dreams.

Publisher's Weekly said: "Full of romance and adventure, laughter and tears, the story is a reminder that veering from the straight and narrow road doesn't always lead to a dead end."

    What is Starfish Envy??

    • L.A. 2009. I’m stuck in traffic on the 101 freeway, listening to Isabella Rosselini on NPR. Isabella, for some reason, mentions that starfish are one of those rare species that can reproduce asexually, and I realize that if I could do that, I wouldn't have to worry about finding a boyfriend/husband. I wouldn’t have to internet date! I wouldn't have to figure out if I want to/can/should have a baby/adopt a baby/child on my own. I wouldn't have to stress about things like FSH levels, or weigh my feelings on in vitro versus adoption. I would just have a baby. Thus began my starfish envy.
