Ha ha I know what you mean about getting excited over things like new sinks - I get excited when I open the fridge and it's full! Enjoy the remodeling and I hope you get lots more nice new things!

I'd get in BIG trouble with a sink that big. I think I'd be tempted to the let the dishes stack up. haha

Love the blurry "before" pic. I hope you regain focus. :-)

Blessings, C

We have a similar one in our kitchen except ours has two sides.
I love that look so much I went for something kind of like that, but more shallow for my new bathroom.

You know what those sinks are good for? Giving baths to babies!!!!

Giving baths to babies and dogs too!

Love the sink, bathing the baby in the sink was the first thing I thought of too. I get the whole breathless about home furnishings thing. I knew it was all over when I started feeling that way about minivans.

I absolutely agree about the sink - it rocks. But wait - is that griddy thing to the right really the new dishwasher? The one with the up-and-down shelves and power blaster spray? Do tell!

My Books (with Elizabeth Craft)

  • 'Bass Ackwards and Belly Up' and 'Footfree and Fancyloose' tell the story of four best friends who commit the ultimate suburban sin: putting off college to pursue their dreams.

Publisher's Weekly said: "Full of romance and adventure, laughter and tears, the story is a reminder that veering from the straight and narrow road doesn't always lead to a dead end."

    What is Starfish Envy??

    • L.A. 2009. I’m stuck in traffic on the 101 freeway, listening to Isabella Rosselini on NPR. Isabella, for some reason, mentions that starfish are one of those rare species that can reproduce asexually, and I realize that if I could do that, I wouldn't have to worry about finding a boyfriend/husband. I wouldn’t have to internet date! I wouldn't have to figure out if I want to/can/should have a baby/adopt a baby/child on my own. I wouldn't have to stress about things like FSH levels, or weigh my feelings on in vitro versus adoption. I would just have a baby. Thus began my starfish envy.
