From The Floor Up

Seriously, guys, I can't believe this keeps happening. Last week I wrote AND PUBLISHED a post and it totally disappeared.

Tonight, I wrote a fairly long post about the nursery, and it just went WHOOSH into the atmosphere.

Not f'ing cool.

I can't do it again, so I'm just going to post this picture of the nursery rug, which should be arriving in the next few days.

I know.

Ah. Dorable.

Beautiful!!!
Have you thought about writing your posts in a program like Microsoft Word or something and then cutting and pasting them into the blog when you're done? That way, you'd be able to press save after every sentence and you'd have it even if the blog goes haywire? Just a thought... I am totally blog illiterate so who knows if this is possible.

I was just about to suggest the same thing as K.R. -- to compose your posts in a word processing program and then copy/paste. I know it's sooooooo frustrating to have all that hard work disappear! p.s. What a cute rug! :)

What is Starfish Envy??

L.A. 2009. I’m stuck in traffic on the 101 freeway, listening to Isabella Rosselini on NPR. Isabella, for some reason, mentions that starfish are one of those rare species that can reproduce asexually, and I realize that if I could do that, I wouldn't have to worry about finding a boyfriend/husband. I wouldn’t have to internet date! I wouldn't have to figure out if I want to/can/should have a baby/adopt a baby/child on my own. I wouldn't have to stress about things like FSH levels, or weigh my feelings on in vitro versus adoption. I would just have a baby. Thus began my starfish envy.
